Chicks loving their new extension

The chicks get a new extension to their their house and are loving it. Egg production is 2 or 3 a day. Only problem is Noah thinking the ladder to their nest is a kiddies slide!

Luke is Star Pupil!

Luke was awarded with Star Pupil today. Had to walk up in Assemby to receive his certificate ... but was a little late and kept them waiting as he was in the middle of his snack. The inconveniences of diabetes.



This is him as Dr Who in school last Thursday which was World Book Day.


We found three eggs today! Reckon its one egg from each, each egg is a different colour. One is white, one is a matt brown and one is a shiny, lighter brown.

A very fresh egg for lunch!

We got three hens last night for our coup. At first they were a little shellshocked by the car journey and we had to lift them in to their bed at night. But they seem much calmer now. I even found a nice wee egg at lunchtime, which was very tasty indeed. The egg was still warm when I found it, so it definitely was the freshest one I've ever had.
